On 3 July 2025, The Foundry buzzed with energy as over 100 changemakers gathered for Better.sg’s second Pitch & Demo Night of the year. Project teams took the stage to pitch or demo their #techforgood initiatives, rallying the community for collaboration, support, and fresh ideas.
The evening spotlighted four inspiring demos from ongoing Better.sg projects — Checkmate, Growing Roots, RUOK, and Empowered Families. These teams shared exciting updates and real-world progress, while one brand-new pitch, Catsafe, a smart safety tracker for community cats, made its debut. Each presentation sparked vibrant discussions, as attendees offered feedback, posed thoughtful questions, and explored opportunities to contribute.
We also celebrated our newest partnership with Accredify. Headquartered in Singapore and founded in 2019, Accredify is Asia Pacific's leading service provider for the issuance of verifiable documents. We are thrilled to join forces to recognise our volunteers for the valuable time they’ve spent contributing to meaningful projects in better.sg!
The evening continued with a candid panel discussion moderated by Belinda Ang, CEO of Artery, an independent support hub for visual artists seeking cultural and commercial viable career pathways. Audrey Tim (EXCO, Head of BMC: Branding, Marketing & Communications) and Xin Yi Yap (Projects & Operations Manager) offered an exclusive peek behind the scenes at how Better.sg runs from ideation to execution. From engaging non-profits to creating content and events, Xin Yi and Audrey talked about what keeps them motivated to drive the tech-for-good movement forward.
We wrapped up the night with a lively networking mixer, where connections sparked and ideas flowed freely. A special thank you to Bettr Cafe for their continued support of Pitch & Demo night.
