At better.sg, we believe that meaningful change doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s sparked through partnerships, across sectors, disciplines, and communities. In recent months, we’ve had the privilege of working with like-minded organisations to catalyse the tech-for-good movement through two key events.
In May, we co-organised Build for Good, a community evening hosted by Open Government Products (OGP), designed to spotlight local tech projects supporting the social sector. The session drew over 74 attendees from across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, many of whom stayed past event time to connect, share, and build.
Better.sg’s Are You Ok? project was among those featured. A volunteer-built chatbot designed to support peer supporters and those navigating emotional distress, Are You Ok?’s V2 bot now incorporates adaptive chain-of-thought prompting, leveraging ChatGPT and Claude to generate context-aware, empathetic responses in real time. This blend of conversational AI with a deeply human mission resonated with attendees, who appreciated seeing tech used not for disruption, but for care.

In June, Better.sg partnered with Temasek Foundation to deliver a hands-on AI & Tech for Social Good workshop for OSCAR grantees — ground-up initiatives working on diverse social causes across Singapore. The workshop focused on AI for work automation, equipping grantees with practical tools to streamline their efforts.
24Asia, a migrant worker initiative, was among the participants who dove into the practical application of AI for work automation. Through hands-on activities, they learned how AI could be harnessed to streamline their processes and had a chance to ask questions about any roadblocks they encountered. Temasek Foundation representatives emphasised the critical role of automation, explaining how it can dramatically enhance the efficiency and reach of their beneficiaries
This partnership was truly the perfect opportunity for us to collaborate with like-minded partners to grow the #techforgood space within Singapore!
These events reminded us of what’s possible when we co-create. Whether it’s a chatbot for mental wellness or a workshop to empower grassroots changemakers, better.sg’s role is to bridge the gap between social challenges and technological possibilities, by empowering people who care.
We’re deeply grateful to our partners at OGP and Temasek Foundation for walking this journey with us. We’re excited to keep building a #techforgood movement that is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply human.
