🎙️ Better.sg was recently featured on Hatch Academy’s AI for All podcast, where our members Xin Yi, Brian, Eugene and Leon spoke about building tech tools that support real-world social work.
Brian and Leon talked about Are You OK?, a chatbot that helps peer supporters structure their conversations, and Eugene shared about his work with Schemes.sg, a platform which makes it easier for Singapore residents to navigate government assistance schemes. Both projects were built by volunteers and shaped by people working on the ground.
Better.sg and Hatch share a mission in empowering the social sector with tech, so that social sector professionals can focus on providing care, and spend less time on admin or navigating fragmented systems.
These tools weren’t built for show. They were iterated with community partners and designed to work within real constraints. Better.sg volunteers also spoke about how AI can be useful when paired with empathy and lived experiences. Click on the thumbnail to watch the full episode.
