Schemes.sg was created to tackle a significant pain point: the difficulty in finding and accessing information on assistance schemes for vulnerable groups in Singapore. For social workers, volunteers, and underprivileged individuals, piecing together fragmented information from multiple sources can be a time-consuming and frustrating process. Schemes.sg aims to change that by providing a smart, natural language search platform that works like Google, allowing users to easily discover the schemes and support that are most relevant to them.
Schemes.sg is built around three core components: Schemes Bank, Schemes Pal, and Schemes Case. Schemes Bank serves as a comprehensive, user-friendly repository of assistance schemes, complete with filters and visualization tools that make it easier for social workers and volunteers to find the information they need. Schemes Pal leverages AI-driven natural language processing to match beneficiaries with the most relevant schemes based on their specific needs. Finally, Schemes Case offers a personalized concierge service for complex cases, providing in-depth support for those who may not fit into standard categories but still need assistance.
Since its inception, Schemes.sg has made significant strides in streamlining the way assistance schemes are accessed in Singapore. While the 2nd version is still in development, we have already laid a strong foundation. The codebase for the new product is in place, and we have successfully deployed a full NLP model that will power Schemes Pal. In addition, we’ve integrated tools like Google Sheets and Data Studio to enhance data management and streamline processes. We’re currently focused on refining these components and preparing the platform for its upcoming launch. Our existing assets allow us to iterate quickly, and we’re excited about the potential impact of Version 2 once it goes live.
As we continue to develop Schemes.sg V2, our focus is on expanding the Schemes Bank repository, improving the accuracy of the NLP model in Schemes Pal, and refining the personalized service offered through Schemes Case.
