2024 CEO letter to better.sg members

Hello!

How has 2024 been for you?

For me, one of the biggest highlights has been the privilege of working alongside all of you—Singapore’s largest #techforgood community. I’m immensely grateful for the dedication and contributions of our EXCO committee: Amanda Goh, Audrey Tim, Giuseppe Enriquez, Immanuel Goh, Prannaya Gupta, Sharon Choy, Sid. S, Vasilisa Mishuhina, and Vincent Teyssier. Each of them has played a vital role in better.sg’s success and growth, whether by building and enhancing our internal tech stack while providing technical guidance to projects, leading our Branding and Marketing efforts, or crafting strategies to drive better.sg into its next phase.

It has been inspiring to celebrate the following milestones in 2024:

• Welcoming 592 new members to better.sg in 2024, growing our vibrant #techforgood community.
• Hosting more than 260 attendees at BEACON, Singapore’s largest tech-for-good conference, featuring impactful speakers from MOHT, OGP, Intellect, Figma, Data.org, and GoodHood.
• Supported by Meta, we partnered with The Majurity Trust through an MOU to embed AI/ML capabilities into the work of social impact organisations, while supporting 18 social impact organisations this year.
• Hosted 2 Pitch and Demo Nights, 4 Think Tanks, and an AI/ML Fireside Chat, engaging over 750 attendees across these events.

Of course, our work doesn’t end here. We are committed to building a platform that supports and nurtures the tech-for-good community even further.
