Help Malaysians in Singapore Affected by the Lockdown

Malaysia locked down their borders on Wed 18 Mar, including the Causeway between JB and Singapore. Many Malaysians work in Singapore but live in JB, and cross the bridge daily. The lock down forced them to choose between staying in Malaysia with their loved ones but being possibly unemployed, or crossing over to Singapore for the 2-week lockdown period without any housing or family support. Many of these workers do the jobs that are critical to the functioning of Singapore's society. We should help support them in their difficult time through whatever means possible. We would like to compile a list of all the helpful options that are available to any affected Malaysians to make their time here a little less painful.

If you know of any organisation / individual / company that is doing something to support them, please list it out. We will share this list widely and with welfare workers and government agencies who are on the ground, looking out for people to help. If you know of a way to reach any affected Malaysians, please get in touch with us or circulate this list to them.
